Adirondack spruce soundboard, Highly figured “The Tree” Mahogany back & sides, One piece Honduran mahogany neck, 14-fret ebony fingerboard, Gotoh 510 tuning machines in gold with black buttons, Nitrocellulose lacquer finish – 2016
This Orchestra Model (OM) has a modern-inspired design that includes wooden body binding and top purfling, a delicate rosette, ebony fingerboard with purfling line outline, scalloped X-bracing, a bone nut and saddle, and exquisite fingerboard position markers. The Adirondack spruce top is especially attractive, with a nice silking pattern, and “The Tree” mahogany used for the back and sides has a beautiful figuring palette of colors.
Played acoustically, this OM has a warm sound with a big sustain, a typical Somogyi-esque sound, along with a pleasant hint of compression. This model has large bass tones but well balanced with mids and super strong trebles.
This is one of the most versatile guitar size, big enough to handle it a large performance on stage, studio or home.
